EULA · Beta agreement

Last updated: May 5, 2026 · Effective for the beta program

This is the End User License Agreement for the ScanPages beta. By installing the beta build via TestFlight or the Google Play beta program, you agree to these terms.

You're running a beta build. Things may break. We'd rather you find a bug here than after launch.

Section 01

Beta software notice

You're installing a beta build of ScanPages. Beta builds are pre-release software. They may contain bugs, performance issues, and incomplete features.

Don't rely on a beta build for critical work without a backup of the source documents.

Section 02

Grant of license

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the beta build for personal evaluation during the beta program.

Section 03

Beta-specific obligations

As a beta tester, we ask you to:

  • Report bugs you encounter — through TestFlight, Play Console, or beta@scanpages.app
  • Keep beta-specific feature details confidential until they ship publicly
  • Update to the latest beta build promptly when prompted

Section 04

Restrictions

You won't redistribute the beta build, share your TestFlight or Play beta access, or attempt to circumvent the beta limits (e.g. crack OCR/signature quotas).

Section 05

No warranty

Beta software is provided without warranty of any kind. Things may break. Data may be lost. Keep backups of anything important.

Section 06

Term and termination

The beta runs until 1.0 ships, at which point this EULA is replaced by the standard ScanPages EULA. We may end your access to the beta at any time, particularly if you breach these terms.

Section 07

Data and privacy

The privacy policy applies to beta builds, with one addition: anonymized telemetry is enabled by default during beta to help us catch issues. You can disable it in Settings → Privacy.

Section 08

Updates

Beta builds update through TestFlight or Google Play. Outdated builds may stop working when we ship a breaking change.

Section 09

Governing law

Same as the main Terms of service: governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, Canada; disputes resolved in Montréal courts.
